Adri’s life story is an inspiration of adventure, courage and passion. At the age of forty, he made a radical change in direction, having worked for two decades as a teacher for croupiers at the Holland Casino. His dream of having his own beach bar became a reality with the opening of Ganpati in Zandvoort, a childhood dream came true.

Ganpati was the first conscious beach club. As a trendsetter, Adri brought an innovative approach to hospitality, inviting each visitor to step out of their world and come home to themselves.

Ganpati, or better known Ganesha, represents letting go, a new beginning and going through your fears.After five years, Adri had to let go of Ganpati but that didn’t stop him from moving on. With a life experience richer, he began from “scratch” with an inner and outer journey of six years through India, southern France (Cathar area), Brazil and Argentina.

In 2014 Adri arrived in Ibiza by chance, with only a backpack and 1,800 euros in his pocket. At dawn, within five minutes, he knew he had come home and decided to stay. He started as a bartender, then became a handyman and was active in the summer months as a Healthy Chef for retreats and weddings. In it, he was able to activate his passion for cooking and indulge the taste buds of his guests.

With love and determination, Adri built Can Pura from nothing. The house exudes his love and devotion. His life motto, “Face your fears, live your dream,” reflects his determination to overcome fears and pursue his dreams and inspires others to do the same.
